One could almost derive a metaphor for life from this picture. But I think it just looks awesome. On the righthand side of highway 50 on the way to Sedalia from Knob Noster, Missouri.

That's awesome! A testament to nature's persistence. I heard of something similar happening on a building (or like a church tower or something) but I forget in which city (think it was in Europe) The tree became an iconic feature and so wasn't removed. Instead, once in a while an arborist comes along to keep it in check (make sure it doesn't grow too big and ruin the structure or fall right off in the wind) This one looks like it's been there for a long time :O
